SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SECEP)
Looking for a job is never easy. But when you're 55+, the challenge can be even more daunting. America's workforce is growing older and becoming even more diverse. Seniors are often overlooked in the workforce beause of age and old stereotypes. Employment is about ability, proven skills and experience, not age. Our Mission is to train and place eligible workers in unsubsidized employment.
The SCSEP program places low-income mature workers (55+) in part-time community service positions. We then help them transfer to unsubsidized employment. These community services projects encompass anything from social, health and welfare to library, or recreation. Mature workers gain economic self-sufficiency while the community benefits in an area that will help it thrive.
